The Windswept Western Flank  [ info ]
In this view of the Presidentials from over Bretton Woods, the Cog Railway clearing appears as a white swath heading up to Mount Washington. Mounts Clay and Jefferson are on the left; Mount Monroe and Franklin on the right. Not much snow can be found on the ridgeline, in part due to the regular sweep of the western winds which blow the snow toward the eastern aspect of the Range.
The White Mountains Collection was donated to the Mount Washington Observatory by Brad Washburn
